چکیده
Abstract Diffusive transport in porous media is a complex process multi-scaled fractured modeling. This paper presents diffusive model for non-Dacian flow naturally reservoir with triple porosity and permeability. To address the non-Darcian behavior associated fluid media, Darcy/Forcheimer equation was used. A point-diffusive obtained from mass conservation Darcy–Forcheimer momentum equation; this used together interface conditions to incorporate microscopic properties of domain. Subsequently, resulting spatially smoothed obtain an effective macroscopic average model. The obtained, unlike existing models, has cross-diffusive term by induced fluxes transfer accounting between matrix surrounding fractures via interface. numerical simulation displayed horizontal-linear network instead radial matrix. results further suggest that despite aiding transport, they enhance production compared

Coupling Geomechanics and Transport in Naturally Fractured Reservoirs
Large amounts of hydrocarbon reserves are trapped in naturally fractured reservoirs which arechallenging in terms of accurate recovery prediction because of their joint fabric complexity andlithological heterogeneity. Canada, for example, has over 400 billion barrels of crude oil in fracturedcarbonates in Alberta, most of this being bitumen of viscosity greater than 106 cP in the GrosmontFormat...

متن کاملA Cubic Matrix-fracture Geometry Model for Radial Tracer Flow in Naturally Fractured Reservoirs
This study presents a general solution for the radial flow of tracers in naturally fractured reservoirs, with cubic blocks matrix-fracture geometry. Continuous and finite step injection of chemical and radioactive tracers are considered. The reservoir is treated as being composed of two regions: a mobile where dispersion and convection take place and a stagnant where only diffusion and adsorpti...
متن کاملA multiple-continuum model for simulating single-phase and multiphase flow in naturally fractured vuggy reservoirs
a r t i c l e i n f o The existence of vugs or cavities in naturally fractured reservoirs has long been observed. Even though these vugs are known for their large attribution to reserves of oil, natural gas, or groundwater, few quantitative investigations of fractured vuggy reservoirs have been conducted. In this paper, a multiple-continuum conceptual model is presented, based on geological dat...
متن کاملModeling Multiphase Flow in Naturally Fractured Vuggy Petroleum Reservoirs
A multicontinuum conceptual model is presented and implemented into a three-dimensional, three-phase reservoir simulator, using a generalized multicontinuum modeling approach. The conceptual model, proposed for investigating multiphase flow and displacement through naturally fractured vuggy carbonate reservoirs, is based on observation and analysis of geological data, as well as on core example...
